This injury resulted in extensive surgery and months of physical therapy. Meet Our Inspiration

While Dr. Laura Catena was working in emergency medicine, she was bitten by a cat on her left hand. Her joints became septic, and the infection spread throughout her body. A PICC line was placed in her right arm, and she received extensive IV antibiotic treatments. Surgery was performed on her left hand, and then months of painful physical therapy ensued for her to regain the use of her hand. Despite not knowing whether she could practice veterinary medicine again, Dr. Laura developed the idea for a compassionate, flexible, protective glove that animal caregivers could use to protect themselves from the pain and expense that she endured. The ArmOR Hand Glove (through word of mouth and high praise) has reached customers globally.
