Who We Are

We're Nicole and Zac Johnson, a husband-and-wife team based in Newport Beach, California. Nicole works full-time in consulting and leads our thoughtful packaging design. Zac is a practicing dermatology physician assistant with over seven years of clinical dermatologic experience, bringing science-backed expertise to Goldie.

Our journey began with Lucky, our golden retriever, and the inspiration behind Goldie. After exploring the dog care market, we were shocked by how few products offered a true "total package"—efficacy, safety, ingredient transparency, and modern, thoughtful design. Most lacked clear labeling and used loud, outdated packaging. With minimal regulation in the dog care space, we constantly found ourselves wondering what we were actually putting on Lucky's skin.

We created Goldie to change that. Every product we make is designed to deliver maximum efficacy with full ingredient transparency, proven safety, and elevated packaging. Our hypoallergenic products are all vet- and dermatologist-approved by a practicing veterinarian, a PhD, and a Harvard-trained dermatologist.

When Lucky turned two, he began struggling with canine atopic dermatitis. Despite multiple systemic treatments (Cytopoint, Apoquel, Atopica, and Zenrelia + ASIT), we still needed topical products to support his regimen. Unfortunately, even prescription options fell short, so we developed our own. That's how Miracle Mist, Miracle Rinse, and So Fresh, So Clean Probiotic Wipes came to life.
