Privacy Policy

PAYMENT TERMS:

We accept: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, C.O.D., or pre-payment by check, wire transfer or PayPal.

For international orders, pre-payment by wire transfer or PayPal only. 

Hospitals and Universities:
All orders need to have a signed Hospital or University Purchase Order hard copy sent (fax or email PDF). We can no longer accept a P.O. number only.

Bank wire transfer fee is $45.00USD plus any other fees assessed by the banks at time of transaction for international. This is for a SINGLE bank-to-bank transaction, and the fee must be included in with the total value of the purchase. If a 3rd party bank has to be involved in the process, the transfer fee is multiplied by however many banks have to hand-off the transaction.

For all PayPal transactions: a transaction fee of 4.75% (0.0475) is assessed on the total amount of the invoice (which includes the final cost of shipping).

Returned (bounced) Checks: There is a $35.00USD fee for all returned (or bounced) checks.

Past-Due Invoices:
Should it be necessary, after all manner to collect on a debt owed has been exhausted - including (but not limited to) multiple reminder notices mailed to the billing address, e-mails, phone calls, payment agreement or charges made to a credit card in the customer's account file - to send the past due invoice(s) to a collection agency, the customer is responsible for ALL associated fees and/or charges incurred in pursuit of satisfying said debt.

SHIPPING:

We can ship anywhere in the world. ESS® repairs and products are shipped via UPS Ground (domestic) or FedEx International Economy (for non-domestic shipments) unless otherwise specified. F.O.B. Brewster, New York. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges - including all customs, duties, taxes and other fees associated with the import of shipped packages to foreign destinations (shipments outside of the United States).

*** NOTICE RE: INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS ***
Foreign/non-domestic shipments: if the receiving party (customer) in a non-U.S. shipping destination refuses to make payment on their country's import fees, refuses the shipment from ESS, Inc. and said shipment is returned to ESS, Inc. in Brewster, NY, USA, a 20% Return and Restocking Fee will be assessed on that refused package to cover the costs associated with returning the order back to ESS, Inc.

INTERNET SALES TAXES
Some States have a "Use Tax" as in the States of Washington and New Jersey. You may be responsible for taxes on goods purchased on The Internet. Please talk to your accountant or your State Tax Department. ESS is NOT responsible for tracking or assessing these taxes.

INTERNATIONAL:
Endoscopy Support Services, Inc. (ESS, Inc.) does not take any responsibility for customs, duties, and/or taxes assessed to the importation of shipped packages to a foreign destination. It is the responsibility of the receiving party (customer) to make payment on these fees in accordance with their Country's Customs Authority and/or Internal Revenue Authority.

WARRANTY:

New products on our web store will have their warranty on the product page or product category. If an item does not have warranty information, please call ESS at 1-845-277-1700, or email us with our online form with the product in question for its warranty information.

Most equipment in our Used/Refurbished Equipment section have a 90-day limited warranty. Used endoscopes priced at $5,000 or above have a one (1) year limited warranty unless otherwise indicated.

RETURNS:

• Returns MUST be made within ten (10) days of receipt of order (this includes products purchased through our eBay account).
• An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number must be obtained before items are returned. Contact ESS, Inc. at 1 (845) 277-1700 to obtain your RMA number.  Alternatively, you can use our "Contact Us" form, but you must provide your complete company information and an Invoice number for us to reference.
• Equipment must be shipped back prepaid to ESS, Inc. within one (1) week after RMA number is received.
• Equipment/accessories must be unopened and unused.
• The condition of item(s) upon return will be determined by ESS, Inc.
• ESS, Inc. does not refund any sales taxes or shipping charges that were originally assessed and invoiced when a return is accepted, and account credit or a refund check is issued on the return (unless otherwise stated).  Refund values are for the value of the item/product only.
• All items for return will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
• Items damaged in shipping due to improper packaging/protecting the items will not be credited/refunded.
• Special-order (custom) items are not returnable or refundable.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS:

Any item which is not designated by a part number in the Item Number column on our invoice, is considered a Special Order. Special Order items may require a non-refundable deposit and once purchased, these items cannot be returned. Reusable forceps, graspers/retrievers with the letter "C" at the end of the part number are considered special order items.  Also many products that begin with the letters "SP-" and are separated with a dash ("-") are also special order or clearance items sold "as is" with no refunds. The sales orders, quotes or invoices will indicate if an item is a special order or not.

Only returns for manufacturer's warranty repair or exchange will be accepted, unless otherwise indicated on your sales quote/order/invoice/lease.  For warranty return, please follow "RETURNS" (Return Merchandise Authorization) procedure.

Wire transfer fee: $35.00USD per transaction (within United States); $45.00USD per transaction for International wire* (this does not include fees charged by the customer's bank)  The fees must be included in with the total value of the Invoice you are paying!

Fee is for a single bank-to-bank transaction.  If the wired funds are handed-off to multiple banks, the fee is multiplied by the number of banks involved (i.e.: Your bank to intermediary bank to ESS bank account = $35.00 multiplied by 2 to equal $70.00 total transfer fees).
