Veterinary medicines are required to maintain animals’ health. They include prevention, control, diagnosis, and treatment of the animals. Generally, a veterinary medicinal product is a substance that can treat any animal disease. However, the importance of veterinary medicines lies in humans and animals having some common diseases and treatments. So, to understand the phenomena of medicine, we can experiment with it on animals first. Commonly, there are four classes of veterinary medicines, including Prescription-only Medicine-Veterinarians (POM-V), Prescription-only Medicine-Suitably Qualified Person (SQP), Non-Food Animal-Medicine (NFA), an Authorised Veterinary Medicine (AVM).
